Brett Whiteley (politician)

Brett Whiteley (born 1 July 1960, Burnie[1]) is an Australian politician and a member of the Liberal Party in Tasmania. He was first elected as a member for the state electorate of Braddon in the 2002 election. He was defeated in the 2010 state election.

In his maiden speech to parliament Mr Whiteley says that in 1993 he opened, in conjunction with two other people, a Christian training and retreat centre in Sheffield. He worked in this role for seven years.[2] He served as an alderman for the City of Burnie from 1999 to 2002.[3]
